IBU Academy becomes official member of the International Council of Coaching Excellence

Since December, the IBU Academy has been an official member of the International Council of Coaching Excellence (ICCE), a global not-for-profit organisation dedicated to leading and developing sport coaching worldwide.

The ICCE has long been a valued partner of the IBU Academy. The IBU Academy Coaches Framework was developed in line with ICCE recommendations, and ICCE expertise has already been integrated into IBU Academy activities through the involvement of ICCE leaders in educator education, webinars, and contributions to the IBU Journal of Biathlon Coaching.

By becoming an official ICCE member, the IBU Academy strengthens its access to international coaching resources and is recognised as a strong partner in discussions shaping the future of coaching. This membership supports active participation in global dialogue on modern and effective coach education.

As an initial step within this partnership, ICCE will validate the IBU Academy Coach Education Framework to ensure its quality and alignment with contemporary educational standards, in line with the IBU Academy strategy. In parallel, ICCE will share innovative approaches to educating coach developers and educators, contributing to the continued development of effective educational processes.

This membership marks an important milestone in reinforcing the IBU Academy’s commitment to high-quality, future-oriented coach education within the global coaching community.
