Dual Career

The International Biathlon Union (IBU) is committed to supporting athletes in balancing their biathlon careers with education and professional development. The IBU also wants to encourage athletes to proactively plan for life after their biathlon careers by utilizing available resources and opportunities.The Dual Career program aims to raise awareness and create opportunities for athletes to pursue academic and vocational paths alongside their sporting endeavors, ensuring neither aspect is compromised.

Key Objectives

• Awareness and Communication - Promote the importance of dual careers among national federations, coaches, athletes, and their support networks to embed this approach within the biathlon culture.

• Education and Work Opportunities - Develop educational programs and scholarships through the IBU Academy, and establish platforms for sharing information about dual career possibilities.
